Our experienced GP practice receptionists are specialist trained to help you get timely, appropriate care for your needs.  In order to do this, they may need to ask you questions about why you need to see a doctor. For example – If it is for a specialised area, please advise our staff to guide them to provide adequate time with our doctor or nurse.

Appointment Cancellation

If you need to cancel an appointment or reschedule this is no problem. We would be grateful if you can do this in a timely manner, please (by calling our reception on 0214632288) to ensure that another patient who may need the appointment and be offered this appointment.

Chaperone Policy

At Midleton Medi Centre, we are committed to respecting your dignity, safety and your religious or culture beliefs. To ensuring the highest of standards and following best practice guidelines patients may have a chaperone present for a consultation, examination or a procedure.

If intimate examinations are recommendable –these examinations will only be carried out with you explicit agreement and you will be offered a chaperone to attend the examination if you so wish.

The chaperone is usually a nurse or other staff member. If you wish you may also have a family member or friend present also.

You may also request a chaperone when making the appointment (please let the receptionist know) or at any time during the consultation.
