Well person checks are a specialised medical check-up.
These are tailored to each individual to provide a comprehensive overview of your general health, and it includes a history taking (including family history), a physical examination, bloods and other tests.
The Well Woman check requires a double consultation and will be geared towards your age and specific complaints, taking into account your past medical history.
Midleton Medi Centre is registered with the National Cervical Screening Programme/ Ladies between 25 and 60 are entitled to a free smear test every 3-5 years. In order to avail of this free smear you need to register with Cervical Check at www.cervicalcheck.ie or phone 1800 45 45 55. Please bring your letter of invitation for Cervical Check as well as your PPS number. Smear tests are best done midcycle (2 weeks after the first day of your last period). If you are no longer having periods you may book anytime.
