Over 65 years Health/ Living well older clinics

Midleton Medi Centre has a long established history of care in this community and as the practice has grown, so too has many of our older aging patients.

Staying healthy and ageing well is important as we get older. As we get older, some conditions and illnesses are more likely to develop and potentially reducing ones lifespan.

At Midleton Medi Centre we are experienced to provide many services to assist you in achieving a healthy lifespan. Our GPs place a focus on preventative care identifying early risk factors such as Diabetes and Heart Disease to detect early signs of disease and they can advise how best to reduce these risk factors before they evolve affecting one’s quality of life.

We offer our Chronic Disease Management Programme which provided twice yearly medicals to assist in identifying, preventing and monitoring long term health conditions to maximise your health.

If you are concerned about your memory we offer memory/cognitive assessments.

We recognise that some people may need extra help from family as they get older. In addition, some may require extra professional support. We have a positive professional relationship with our colleagues who also work in the community to assist with support for older patients with assistance with home help, dietitians, occupational therapist and physiotherapists.
